I'm a guitar player and I grew up listening to the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Lynard Skynard, Deep Purple, Ted Nugent, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Rod Stewart, AC/DC,
Thin Lizzy, the stones and John Fogarty.

Any of that will do me thank you.

Best place on my telly for music is 'Later with Jools Holland' it is brilliantly eclectic, like Me.

I have found every decade has it's good and mediocre stuff, e.g the 70s had 'Pink Floyd' and 'Showaddywaddy', go figure.

Gary Moore used to play with Thin Lizzy before he went solo.
Yes a tragic loss. The drummer with them ( Brian Downey) lived in the same street as me growing up in Ballyfermot in Dublin.

But the poster above me says he did not like Pink Floyd.
I love Pink Floyd. How could anyone not like them????

Don't mention any of those old BBC dj's.
They are all being arrested now, thanks to what Savile did.
I said to myself when Dave Lee Travis was arrested, surely he must have known.
They all must know something went on. Everyone there must have known something.
The likes of Wogan, Tony Blackburn, Peter Powell.
Don't tell me they knew nothing

Aw. Poor old showaddywaddy.
They tried to bring back the 50's,
but I guess most people just wanted to forget the 50's.

Forget the '50's? A pox on you.😠
If not for the '40's and '50's the rest...well the good stuff, wouldn't have happened.
Listen to who, the really good, bands, singers, musicians "learned" from.
