@David-Burton
Yeah, Led Zep was the real deal. Saw them live in San Francisco in the 70s. Awesome stadium rockers.

Last time I wrote a post about Led Zeppelin was in an argument with @divegeester whether it is proper to say "Led Zeppelin" or "the MIGHTY Led Zeppelin". There was a local guy on FM radio here who, every time he announced a Led Zep tune, he called them "the MIGHTY Led Zeppelin". This has always stuck with me.

I have no recollection of this, but I’ll take your word for it.
But being a Led Zeppelin purist I would have argued for “Led Zeppelin”.

Nice, thanks for sharing this.

I shall try to visit that Wiltshire museum exhibit next year.

I was born the year after they broke up following the death of John Bonham. Thank goodness for classic radio. Now I can hear their stuff on streaming services without waiting for them to come around on the radio.

"Mighty" doesn't do them justice, not even in all caps.

"Hammer of the Gods" comes closer.

I read this a couple of times years ago. Highly entertaining.

The title (in case some aren’t aware) comes from a reply Jimmy Page gave when asked what defines the essence of Led Zeppelin; he said “it’s the power, the mystery and the hammer of the gods”. Cool reply I always thought. Other sources say it’s taken from a line in “the immigrant song” - “the hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands”.

You don’t have any of their stuff on hand digitally?

I suppose that the Gods' existence is justified and accepted, as long as they are utilized for praising earthly gods. Why do we need a stairway to heaven if God does not exist?

Yes, I downloaded most of their albums.

But at work I don't have access to that.
